     Lydia amd Levi were married in Julian Center County, PA, by Rev J. V. R. Hughes.

Lulu Deziah Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1900 at Milo, Yates County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Lulu M. Hotcdhkin, born Oct 1877, 22, born PA, father born NY, mother born PA, servant in home of Charles Bultrin.. She resided at Milo, Yates County, NY, in 1900. She married Alfred Carpenter Angus at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, USA, on 24 July 1901. According to Lulu's obituary, they were married on the family farm..2,3 Lulu Deziah Hotchkin died on 22 November 1944 at New York City, New York County, NY, USA, at age 67.4 She was buried at Prattsburgh Rural Cemetery, at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, USA.

     Her obituary says that she was trained as a nurse in the Elizabeth NJ General Hospital and later opened her home in Prattsburg as a maternity hospital and eighty children were born there. She was an invalid during the last eleven years of her life. Elsie Hotchkin Moon calls her Lulu Deziah Hotchkin and says that she was born and died in Prattsburg, NY. Her obituary calls her Lulu May.

He married Jessie Nancy Deighton at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, on 24 August 1903.1 Charles Fee Hotchkin registered for the World War I Draft while living at Penn Yan, Yates County, NY, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "The card is very hard to read , but it gives his name, age 38, born 15 Sep 1879. and gives his wife Jessie as a dependent.". He appeared on the census of 1920 at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Charles F., age 40, b NY; wife Jessie N., age 35, b NY; dau Lydia E., age 12; son Richard F., age 9, b NY; living with Charles father Levi O. Hotchkin.. He died on 5 June 1950 at Bath, Steuben County, NY, USA, at age 70. His June 4th death date comes from Prattsburg Historical Society records. His obituary claims June 3rd and June 4th..2 He was buried at Prattsburgh Rural Cemetery, at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, USA.

     He was the superintendent of the Prattsburg Railroad, having begun as a conductor. He was active in musical organizations, a member of the Presbyterian Church in Prattsburg, elder of that church, and a Mason. The May 4, 1950 edition of Chronicle Express, Pen Yan, NY says that Charles had a heart attack and was visited by Mr and Mrs Moon and daughter Deborah of Rchester.

He was the son of Levi Oliver Hotchkin and Lydia A. Fee. He married Louise Katherine Lang at Buffalo, Erie County, NY, USA, on 30 August 1919.1 Harry Vance Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1920 at Buffalo, Erie County, NY. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Harry V., age 25, b NY, draghtsman at Grafite Co; wife Louise K., age 24, b OH; mother in law Barbara C. Laing, age 51, b NY; brother in law Herbert W. Laing, age 20, b OH.. He registered for the World War II draft in 1942 while living at Rutherford, Bergen County, NJ, USA. His draft card had additional information: "He gave his name as Harry Vance Hotchkin, born 24 June 1894 in Prattsburg, NY. He gives Louise K. Hotchkin as his permanent contact and says that he works for the US Department of Agriculture in Bloomfield, NY.". He died on 1 November 1962 at Rutherford, Bergen County, NJ, USA, at age 68. Death location comes form grand daughter Barbara Ann.. He was buried at Hillside Cemetery, at Lyndhurst, Bergen County, NJ, USA.

     Harry was a draftsman in Buffalo, NY. The 1930 Census says that he was a State Supervisor of the US Dept of Agriculture. At the 1930 Census they were living in the Borough of Midland Park, Bergen Co, NJ.

Joseph Harvey Hotchkin

     Joseph Harvey Hotchkin was born on 20 February 1778 at Guilford, New Haven County, CT, USA. According to the History of Cornwall by Starr, Joseph was baptised by T. Allen on 27 Oct 1782 in Cornwall.1,2 He was the son of Beriah Hotchkin Rev. and Thankful Dickinson. He married Alethea Judson at Presbyterian Church, Greenville, Greene County, NY, USA, on 20 August 1804.3 Joseph Harvey Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1810 at Greenville, Greene County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Joseph Hotskins, 1 male under 10, 1 male 26 to 45, 1 male over 45, 1 female 25 to 45.. He died on 27 January 1852 at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, USA, at age 73. He was buried at Old Presbyterian Cemetery, at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, USA.

     Joseph was born in Guilford, CT and moved with his parents to Cornwall, CT and then on to Greenville, NY. Greene County real estate records show that Joseph and Alithea purchased 20 acres on 10 September 1806, from Elizur Kirklan, witnessed by Levi Collender and Beriah Hotchkin, and sold this same property to Benjamin McCabe on 8 March 1825, witnessed by Levi Collender and Alexander Collender.
     When his father, Rev Beriah decided to retire and move to Prattsburg, Joseph and his family also made the move and settled in Pulteney where he was a farmer. Both Joseph and Alithea are buried in the Old Presbyterian Cemetery, which is accessible by going through a farmer's dooryard. Alithea's gravestone is broken so you can't tell if the name is Alithea or Althea, but Rev Beriah called her Alithea.
     Joseph's father, Rev Beriah, married Joseph and Alithea Judson on 20 August 1804 in Greensville, NY. Joseph and Alithea were admitted to the Greenville Presbyterian Church on 2 September 1810. At the same time, Alithea and two of her children, Thankful and Beriah Harvey were baptized.

H., 62 (1807), NY, farmer, 5500, 1500; Martha, 63 (1806), NY, keeoing house; Anna, 27 (1842), NY, at home; Augusta, 24 (1845), NY, at home; Charles, 17 (1852), NY, at home; Edward, 14 (1855), NY.. He died on 31 May 1877 at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, at age 69. Gravestone gives death date of 1 june 1877.. He was buried at Glenview Cemetery, at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, USA.

     The Greenville Presbyterian Church records mistakenly lists Henry as his middle name. The family moved to Pulteney from Greenville about 1823.

     The John Bridge Genealogy says that John was a grape vineyard farmer in Pulteney, NY. He bought property from his father in 1837 and built a log cabin on it. This property was in the family until 1896. John was the eldest son of Edward and Martha Bridge.3

He married Caroline (Carrie) Motsiff at NY, USA, in October 1857. Charles Hotchkin Prentiss died on 2 October 1912 at Vernon, Oneida County, NY, USA, at age 81. He was buried at Verona Cemetery, at Vernon Center, Oneida County, NY, USA.

Oneida, Oct 3 -- Charles H. Prentiss, 80 died at his home half a mile east of Verona to-day. Mr. Prentiss resided near Verona for the past thirty-six years. He was born in Poultney, Steuben county, January 16, 1832. He is survived by one brother, George Prentiss of Verona; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Davis of Brockport, Mrs. Frances Geulick, Mrs. Sarah Bacon and Mrs. Williamette Armstrong of Poultney, and by one daughter, Miss Flora Prentiss of Verona.

She married John Stebbins Bacon Rev. at NY, USA, on 5 May 1858.3 Sarah Harding Prentiss died on 9 November 1926 at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, at age 89. She was buried at Glenview Cemetery, at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, USA.

     Sarah married Rev. John Bacon, a Presbyterian minister with parishes in Amboy, Syracuse, and Niagara Falls, NY. No children survived from the marriage.
