She was the daughter of William McAllister and Murial Hendrick. She married Truman (Freeman) Hurlbut at Franklin County, VT, USA, on 1 January 1855. Hannah McAllister died on 24 January 1900 at Franklin County, VT, at age 65. She was buried at East Berkshire Congregational Cemetery, at East Berkshire, Franklin County, VT, USA.

     Samuel Stephens Stiles was born on 1 September 1797 at Chester, Windsor County, VT, USA. Age 53 at the 1850 census of McHenry, IL. He was the son of Nathaniel Stiles. He married Hannah Talma Hendrick at Enosburg, Franklin County, VT, USA, on 26 August 1821.1 Samuel Stephens Stiles appeared on the census of 1850 at Chemung, McHenry County, IL, USA. The census lists the family as: Samuel Stiles, 53, farmer, born VT; Hannah, 50, born VT; son Paschal P., 23, born VT; son Hearman I., 11, born VT.. He died circa 1859 at Harvard, McHenry County, IL, USA.

     He was born after the death of his father and as a boy lived with Mr Harris, later his boyhood was mostly spent in Chester, Clarendon and Vergennes, VT. He told of having heard the cannonading during the battle of Platttsburg in the War of 1812.

It also gives age at death 64, 4, 23 which calculates to 1 Jul 1839.1 He married Elizabeth Melissa Hendrick at MI, USA, in 1860. Death Certificates says that he was age 21 at marriage..2 Edmond Davison died on 24 November 1903 at Wells Twp, Tuscola County, MI, USA, at age 64.1

Saw This Community Grow From Pioneer Settlement To Prosperous Commonwealth
In the passing of Mrs. Margaret A. Hendrick on Jan. 16, Cass City lost a well-known and respected citizen, a lady who has seen Cass City and Tuscola county grow from a pioneer settlement of 60 years ago to the strong, prosperous community of today. Mrs. Hendrick was stricken with cerebral hemmorage on Jan. 5 and her death had been anticipated by her relatives and friends since that date.
Margaret Ann Higgins was born in Canada on Oct. 7, 1852. As a child, she came with her parents to Elmwood township, Tuscola county, and on New Years day of 1873 she was united in marriage with Joel F. Hendrick. They lived on a farm in Ellington township during the first few years of their married life. In November, 1876, they moved to Cass City where Mr. Hendrick established himself in the jewelry business. He continued in that business until his death on December 19, 1909. One child, a daughter named Cora, was born to them. She died when about six years of age.
Mrs. Hendrick was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian church at Cass City and was most active in the ladie's aid organization of that society. She was also a member of Venus Rebekah lodge and was found foremost in the activities of that fraternity for many years.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church on Monday afternoon conducted by the Rev. Wm. Schnug, the pastor. Interment was made at Elkland cemetery. Members of Venus Rebekah lodge conducted the burial service of that society at the cemetery chapel.
Mrs. Hendrick is survived by one brother, Jas. W. Higgins of Rochester Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. Henry McConkey of Gagetown and Mrs. Libby Ormsby of Seattle, Wash. Mr. Higgins and daughter, Miss Matie, came from Rochester to attend the funeral.. She was buried at Elkland Twp Cemetery, at Cass City, Tuscola County, MI, USA. Obituary
