     His name appears in the Vermont 1790 census in a family having 2 males and 3 females, living in Rutland, VT. His wife's name was Priscilla. The Talma Hendrick diary says that he lived in Rutland from 1796 to 1811. He assisted in settling the estate of his father William.

Talma Hendrick was a Private, andserved in the Artillery Company, during the War of 1812.1 He died on 29 October 1862 at Enosburg, Franklin County, VT, USA, at age 88. Cemetery records..1 He was buried at Enosburg Center Cemetery, at Enosburg Falls, Franklin County, VT, USA.

     Daniel Henrick Genealogy, "He learned the blacksmith trade of Stephen House, in Bennington, VT. In 1803 he bought a farm in Enosburg, VT which he cleared and worked in connection with his trade. Enlisted as a private in war of 1812. He was at the battle of Plattsburg. He was a deacon of the Baptist church, a Whig and later a Republican." Talma C. said in his diary, a copy of which is in the possession of the Compiler that Talma moved to Enosburg in 1803, was a soldier in war of 1812 and was deacon of Baptist church at Enosburg Falls. According to Talma, all of his children were farmers.2

He died on 12 July 1873 at Silver Lake, Martin County, MN, USA, at age 75. Talma C says that he died in Wisconsin but it is most likely that Silver Lake MN was the location..1

     Talma C. Hendrick personal diary of about 1900. Talma says that he moved to Wisconsin about 1870. Thomas and his sister Murial married brother and sister and on the same day.1

Hendrick and James Higgins and wife Harriet.. He died on 9 November 1883 at Ellington Twp, Tuscola County, MI, at age 73. Died of pneumonia..1 He was buried at Elkland Twp Cemetery, at Cass City, Tuscola County, MI, USA.

     Talma C. Hendrick personal diary of about 1900. Talma reports that: "Joel T. lived in Madison, NY a few years then in Ashtabula Co, OH until 1866 when he moved to Elligton, Tuscola Co., MI where he died of Pneumonia on Nov 9, 1883. His wife died Mar 13 1889. Baptist, farmer, carpenter." Talma doesn't say when Joel moved from VT to Ashtabula, OH.1

The census lists the family as: Parker Hendrix, 31, farmer, born VT; Polly, 33, born VT; Louisa, 7, born VT; Hannah, 5, born VT; Elihu, 3, born VT Talma Hendrix, 76, farmer, born VT; Lydia, 73, born VT.. He married Elizabeth Brown at Enosburg, Franklin County, VT, on 13 October 1885. James died on 29 January 1893 at Enosburg, Franklin County, VT, at age 73. In another location Talma uses a date of 30 Jan, 1893. Died of pneumonia..1 He was buried at Enosburg Center Cemetery, at Enosburg Falls, Franklin County, VT, USA. Died at age 73-6-24.

     Talma C. Hendrick personal diary says that he and his wife lived on his father's farm. He was a member of the Vermont senate, a farmer, dairyman, Methodist and a Republican
Enosbury Center Cemetery records show a wife Polly, who died 15 Aug 1884 at age 66 yr, 5 mo, 24 days (calculated to birth 22 feb 1818.) If this is Elizabeth then Talma's records are in error.1
