     Florence Rowland was born on 23 January 1923 at Fordtown, Sullivan County, TN, USA. She married Alden Hugo Fields, son of Floyd Nathaniel Fields and Ida Virginia Sexson, after 1965. Florence Rowland died on 12 June 2000 at Kingsport, Sullivan County, TN, USA, at age 77. Funeral services for Florence Patrick Fields, age 77, 3637 Hemlock Park Drive, Kingsport, who died Monday, June 12, 2000 will be conducted at 7:30 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at the Mafair United Methodist Church with Rev. Mathan Archer and Rev. Donald D. Hicks officiating. Calling hours will be from 5 PM to 7:30 PM Wednesday prior to the funeral. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 AM Thursday, June 15, 2000 in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family members will act as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Organ Fund of Mafair United Methodist Church, 1409 East Center Street, Kingsport, TN 37664. Mrs Fields was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Patrick and second husband Alden H. Fields; five brothers, Vernon Rowland, Earl Rowland, Glenn F. Rowland Sr., James Rowland, and Chaplain Rowland; and a sister Louise Rowland. Her parents, Glen Franklin Rowland Sr.,and Ida Ethel Martin Rowland also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Katheryn Ann Patrick Corn and husband, Allen Corn, Nashville, TN; a son, Michael Edward Patrick and wife , Linda A. Patrick, Kingsport; Two stepchildren, Claudine Fields Carlton and husband Terry Carlton, Oberlin, Ohio and Janice Fields Gibbon and husband Dan Gibbon, Baton Rouge, LA; six grandchildren, Kendra Ann Hood Hanton, Michelle Patrick Brooks, Randy Gibbon, Kirk Gibbon, Brain Carlton, and David Carlton; one great=granddaughter Hannah Marie Brooks; two sisters, Frances Fulkerson, Katherine Decker, both of Kingsport; and a number of nieces and nephews. Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown, is serving the Fields family.. She was buried at East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, at Kingsport, Sullivan County, TN, USA.
