     Marguerite's father worked for the railroad, which precipitated the family's move from Elyria to Toledo. She attended Davis Business College. She and Fred had two sons. She fulfilled her great desire to live to be ninety years old.

John B. White, 84, of Harrison Township, Natrona Heights, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, in Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, Cabot, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Toledo, Ohio, son of the late Wilbur McKee and Helen Bartlett White.

He was a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corp. during World War II, serving from 1942 to 1945.

He graduated with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University. He was an executive vice president, Glass Division, of PPG Industries, Pittsburgh, for 34 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Brackenridge, Brackenridge Heights Country Club, Oakmont Yacht Club, River Forest Yacht Club, Pittsburgh Power Squadron, Elks, Past Commodore of Pittsburgh Syria Mariners, Mason with Queen City Masonic Lodge, Cumberland, Md., Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Royal Arch Masons, Knights Templar, Syria Shriners, York Rite, Skyview Radio Club, PA Society of Professional Land Surveyors, Society of Automotive Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, past board member of Allegheny Valley Hospital and past vestry member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. John enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, being a ham radio operator, genealogy and building clocks.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen (Collins) White, of Harrison Township; two sons, Kenneth (Joanne) White, of Albany, N.Y., and David (Cathleen) White, of Murrysville; two daughters, Susan (Gary) Sobkiw, of Harrison Township, and Ann (Werner) Emmerich, of Plainfield, Ill; six grandchildren, Kristen and Bryan White, Clay and Savannah Emmerich, and John and Katherine White; and sister, Margaret Moffat, of Saluda, N.C.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joana Phillips.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME, Natrona Heights. Mason service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Service will be held at noon Friday in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Morgan and Freeport Road, Brackenridge, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Smalley, his pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, Ohio.. He was buried at Hillsboro Cemetery, at Hillsboro, Highland County, OH, USA.
