SSDI gives 21 Jan 1882, SS# 442-01-2651. Age 48 at the 1930 census of Tulsa, OK..1 He was the son of William (Will) Walner Jr. and Lena Hotchkin. John Alexander Walner married Gertrude Hobbs, daughter of Benjamin F. Hobbs and Mary A. McConkey, on 20 May 1912 at Greenfield, Daele County, MO, USA. Date from 1930 census.2 John Alexander Walner appeared on the census of 1930 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, OK, USA. The census lists the family as: John A. Walner, 48, married at 30, born OK, life insurance agent; wife Gertrude, 42, married at 24,born NE; dau Lena, 17, born OK; son John, 12, born OK.. He died on 23 September 1965 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, OK, at age 83. ..1 He was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery, at Tulsa, Tulsa County, OK, USA.

William Robert Walner

     William Robert Walner was born on 10 October 1879 at Indian Territory, USA. Living with Uncle John Walner at the 1900 Census of Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. His brother James is also there. The family is shown as Indian. This census gives his birth as Nov 1879 and calls him Robert. He was the son of William (Will) Walner Jr. and Lena Hotchkin. He married Cornelia (Coral) Mae Owens Cheek at OK, USA, in 1902. Married 7 years at the 1910 census.. William Robert Walner registered for the World War I Draft on 12 September 1918 while living at Wynnewood, Garvin County, OK, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives his complete birth date and says that he an Indian. He gives his sife as dependant, Mrs Mae Walner.". He appeared on the census of 1920 at Walker, Garvin County, OK, USA. The census lists the family as: William R. Walner, 41 born OK, parents born OK, gambler or speculator; wife May O., 34, born AR, father born VA, mother born TN; dau Florence M., 16, single, born OK; son William R., 14, single, born OK.. He died on 28 February 1945 at Blackwell, Kay County, OK, USA, at age 65. Jan Walner said that she had 2 telegrams regarding William Robert (Bob) Walner murders. One was from her grandmother and the other from a man in Blackwell,OK that she did not know. Both were dated March 2nd and one had 1945 stamped on the back. Her grandmother wrote that Jan's dad should contact the Hennenger Funeral Home in Enid, OK. Jan says that Bob was murdered on a Wednesday. That would make the date as Wed February 28th, 1945.. He was buried at Blackwell Cemetery, at Blackwell, Kay County, OK, USA. A descendant, Jan Walner said that she had 2 telegrams regarding William Robert (Bob) Walner murders. One was from her grandmother and the other from a man in Blackwell,OK that she did not know. Both were dated March 2nd and one had 1945 stamped on the back. Her grandmother wrote that Jan's dad should contact the Hennenger Funeral Home in Enid, OK. Jan says that Bob was murdered on a Wednesday. That would make the date as Wed February 28th, 1945...

     The 1900 census has him as Robert where the 1920 census has him as WA descendant, Jan Walner said that she had 2 telegrams regarding William Robert (Bob) Walner murders. One was from her grandmother and the other from a man in Blackwell,OK that she did not know. Both were dated March 2nd and one had 1945 stamped on the back. Her grandmother wrote that Jan's dad should contact the Hennenger Funeral Home in Enid, OK. Jan says that Bob was murdered on a Wednesday. Charles Corry Stephenson Sr.1

He married Mary Lloyd Hotchkin at Durant, Bryan County, OK, USA, on 6 March 1930.2 Charles Corry Stephenson Sr. died on 17 April 1993 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, OK, USA, at age 85. He was buried at Antlers City Cemetery, at Antlers, Pushmataha County, OK, USA.

     Corry was a rancher and operated a grocery store with his father and brothers. He and Mary met when she was in Antlers visiting her brother Earl. Peggy Lou Clark Stephenson says that he loved to play poker and tell stories.
     After the death of his wife Mary, he moved to Tulsa to be near his son and grand children.

Cyrus Hotchkin Kingsbury married Lucy Ann Keel circa 1882. Cyrus Hotchkin Kingsbury died in 1911. He was buried at Deepwood Cemetery, at Nevada, Vernon County, MO, USA.

     The 1900 census says that he is widowed and living with sister Lucy and her husband Partrick Littlepage.

The census lists the family as: John P. Kingsbury, age 39, merchant, b MS; wife Hannah M., age 28, b MS; son Cyrus, age 1, b Choc. Nat., Cyrus Byington, age 25, clerk, OH; N. Pool, age 22, clerk, b TX; John Blackwell, age 24, Teacher, b GE.. He died on 10 December 1867 at Boggy Depot, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, USA, at age 45. Kingsbury Genealogy gives a date of 1869. Tombstone says Dec 10 1867 but engraving is not clear. Age 46 years, 2 mo, and 12 days..3 He was buried at Boggy Depot Cemetery, at Boggy Depot, Atoka County, OK, USA. Died at age 46 years, 2 months and 12 days..4

     John Parker Kingsbury is the son of the Rev Cyrus Kingsbury, the well known partner of Rev Ebenezer Hotchkin, missionary to the Choctaws. He was educated at Marietta College in Ohio and then rejoined his father in Indian Territory. John is buried next to his father in the cemetery at Boggy Depot where members of the Hotchkin family are buried. He was a merchant.5

Mary Semple Hotchkin in her autobiography says that Willie died just after the new house was finished and a few months after Lena's death and he was buried beside Lena on the Walner ranch..1
