     Hazen Calvin Hendrick Jr. was born in 1927 at Tuscola County, MI, USA. He was the son of Hazen Foster Hendrick and Agnes JUlia Ekstrom. Hazen Calvin Hendrick Jr. died on 19 June 1951 at Korea. He was buried at Indianfields Cemetery, at Caro, Tuscola County, MI, USA. Sergeant First Class Hendrick was a member of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. When his position was overrun on February 12, 1951, he was severely wounded by small arms fire and enemy bayonets, then taken Prisoner of War. He survived a 100 mile death march to Pyangyang, North Korea. He died as a prisoner on June 17, 1951. His remains were not recovered..
