He married La Vaughn Bertha Beltz at Kansas City, Jackson County, MO, USA, on 11 January 1944.2 Roger Douglas Hotchkin and La Vaughn Bertha Beltz were divorced after 1953. Roger Douglas Hotchkin died on 13 July 1996 at Blue Springs, Jackson County, MO, USA, at age 74.3 He was buried on 19 July 1996 at Hazelwood Cemetery, at Grinnell, Poweshiek County, IA, USA. Roger D. Hotchkin, 74, of Blue Springs,
MO., a native of Grinnell, died Saturday
July 13 at MCI Hospital in Blue Springs.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday
at Messiah Lutheran Church, Independence,
MO. A graveside service is set for 1 p.m.
Friday at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.
He was born June 5, 1922, in Grinnell. He
served with the U.S. Air Force during
World War II. Mr. Hotchkin was a network
supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone
for 40 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran
Church, the American Legion, the Goldwing
Tour Association, the Carnival Ballroom
Dance Club and the K.C. Swing Dance Club.

     His obituary in the Kansas City Star, July 15, 1996, says that he passed away Saturday, July 13, at the Medical Center of Independance. Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday, July 16, at Messiah Lutheran Church; internment will be Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell. Mr Hotchkin was born June 5, 1922, in Grinnell and was Network Supervisor for Southwest Bell Telephone Co.

     Neil Austin Hotchkin was born on 30 April 1926 at Grinnell, Poweshiek County, IA, USA.1 He was the son of Charles Towne Hotchkin and Mary Amelia DeHart. Neil Austin Hotchkin enlsted on 8 January 1945 while living at Fort Snelling, Hennepin County, MN, USA. His enlistment notes said: " Neil A. Hotchkin, born 1926, native of Iowa, enlisted for duration, 3 years of high school, single, no dependents. Height 60, weight 00.". He married Judy Lester circa 1953. He married Joyce Marie Deere on 14 February 1959. Neil Austin Hotchkin died on 3 August 1995 at Kellogg, Jasper County, IA, USA, at age 69.2 He was buried at Our Silent City Cemetery, at Kellogg, Jasper County, IA, USA.

     His obituary in the Des Moines Register, August 5, 1995, says that he died of a heart ailment Thursday at Skiff Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 AM Monday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home. Burial will be in Our Silent City Cemetery.

Van had worked as a machinist at Thomberts in Newton for the last 1 1/2. Prior to that he worked at Midwest Manufacturing for 17 years, Moore Tool and Die for 5 years, and Montezuma Manufacturing for 6 years.

He was a memberof the Local UAW 997.
