Francesco (Frank) DelVero was born circa 1889 at San Giovanni in Fiore, Calabria, Italy. He was the son of Raffaele DelVero. Francesco (Frank) DelVero was born on 14 March 1889 at Fayette County, WV, USA. World War I Draft Registration gives 14 March, Social Security Death Index gives 13 March. He says that he is a coal miner and has a wife and children. He served in the Italian Army for 11 months. He married Giuseppa (Josephine) Allevato. Francesco (Frank) DelVero died in May 1966 at Dearborn, Wayne County, MI, USA.¹

Francesco left Italy September 12, 1912 on the SS Canada and arrived New York on September 26th. According to the information that he gave he had $38.00 with him and was headed for Boomer, WV to live with his brother Silvestro Del Vero at Box 28, Boomer, WV. He gave his age as 23.

California Death Index.² He died on 10 October 1983 at Alhambra, Los Angeles County, CA, USA, at age 90.^1,2

He arrived in New York on the SS Prinzess Irene with his sister-in-law Giuseppa and Angelo Raffaele. His niece Sharon said that he was shell shocked from the war, never married and lived a number of years in a veterans home.

Her obituary in the Dominion Post, Morgantown, WV date 29 Jan 2000 gave her birth and death information. It said that she was a member of the St Mary's Christian Mothers, Columbian Federated Ladeies Auxiliary 42, and St Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Her obituary supplied all of her brothers and sisters and their spouses.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are by the Westcott Funeral Home Inc., 123 Main St., Unadilla, under the direction of James S. Westcott and James C. Magee, funeral directors..¹
