Jack R. Anians, 74, of Bourbonnais, died Friday (Feb. 8, 2008) at his home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Robert Dealey will officiate.

Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

Mr. Anians worked in management for the GTE Company for several years. He was born Nov. 24, 1933, the son of Edward "Ted" and Marie Hotchkins Anians. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was of the Lutheran faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Miller, whom he married Jan. 28, 1956, in Chicago; two sons and daughters-in-law, John Robert and Sherri Anians of Shorewood, Brian David and Gina Anians of Wheatland, Iowa; one daughter and son-in-law, Denise Marie and Bob Duncan of Bourbonnais; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Jacqueline Proudfoot of Momence; and one niece and one nephew.

One brother, Robert Anians, is deceased..¹ He was buried at All Saints Cemetery, at Bourbonnais, Kankakee County, IL, USA, .

     Jacqueline Anians is the daughter of Horace Edward Anians and Marie Matilda Hotchkin. She married Unknown Proudfoot circa 1965.

     Doris Mae Archer was born on 21 March 1927 at Alfalfa, Alfalfa County, OK, USA. Age 3 1/12 at 1930 census. She was the daughter of Jesse Ellison Archer and Marie Ellen Breadman. Doris Mae Archer married William Calvin Southerland on 22 June 1943 at Raton, Colfax County, NM, USA. Doris Mae Archer died on 7 November 2004 at Mayfield, Sumner County, KS, USA, at age 77. Doris Mae Heasty, 77, of Mayfield, retired home health care worker and homemaker, died Nov. 7, 2004.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Frank Funeral Home in Wellington.
A memorial has been established with Trinity Hospice.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Hill and Sandra Hotchkin, both of Mayfield; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

     John Ardell was born in 1805 at England. This date seems unlikely as he would only be 14 at daughters birth; but the 1860 census of Prattsburg, NY show him age 54 and wife Fanny, age 52; both born in England.

     Sarah Ardell was born in March 1819 at England. Age 31 at 1850 census, 41 at the 1860 census, 51 at the 1870 census and 60 at the 1880 census, birth Mar 1819 at the 1900 census. According to the 1900 census, Sarah's family arrived in the country in 1837. She was the daughter of John Ardell. Sarah Ardell married Richard Deighton, son of Joseph Deighton, on 6 February 1837 at Pockington, Yorkshire County, England. Sarah Ardell died on 15 May 1901 at Prattsburg, Steuben County, NY, USA, at age 82.
