William Clark was born in October 1818 at MD, USA. Age 63, born MD at the 1880 census. The 1900 census gives date of Oct 1818 in VA. He married Louvisa Bigelow at MI, USA, circa 1843.1 William Clark appeared on the census of 1870 at Rives Twp, Jackson County, MI, USA. The census lists the family as: His wife Lovisa, age 43, and dau Marietta, age 60 are living with her half brother Abram. William is not found.. He appeared on the census of 1880 at Spring Arbor, Jackson County, MI, USA. The census lists the family as: William Clark, 63, railroad engineer, born MD, father born MD, mother born VA; wife Lovisa, 55, born NY, parents born CT; dau Mary, 15, born MI.. He appeared on the census of 1900 at Ionia, Ionia County, MI, USA. The census lists the family as: William Clark, oct 1818, 81, married 55 years, born VA, parents born VA, invaled; Lovisa Clark, aug 1825, 74, married 55 years, 6 children, 2 living, invaled. They are living with their dau Marietta and her husband Wallace Mathews.. He died between 1900 and 1910 at MI.
The children's names came from a note of sister Marietta in the Hotchkin Reunion files, but the 1910 census says that Louvisa had only 2 children of which the Compiler knows Etta Mary was one of the two. The 1900 census says that she had 6 children of whom 2 were living at that time.
