     Patricia Nell Walner was born on 28 May 1930.¹ She was the daughter of Hugh Ryan Walner and Maggie Pauline Jackson. Patricia Nell Walner married Bobby Lawrence Rutherford in February 1956. Patricia Nell Walner died in February 2001 at Odessa, Ector County, TX, USA, at age 70.¹

WYNNEWOOD -- Graveside rites for Paul Leon Walner, 82, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood with the Rev. Dan Patman officiating.

Walner died Feb. 3, 1998, in the Plano, Texas, hospital after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 3, 1915, at Wynnewood, to Hugh and Pauline Jackson Walner.

Reared at Wynnewood, he married Sarah Madlyn Walker July 3, 1938, at Kingston and was a Wynnewood Fire Department volunteer. They moved to Ardmore in 1949 and operated Mid Continent Stage and Equipment Co., retiring after 50 years. They moved to Plano in 1995. He was a member of Ardmore's First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter; two sons; two sisters; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

     Susan Verna Walner was born on 1 December 1883 at Indian Territory, USA.¹ She was the daughter of John H. Walner and Frances (Lulu) Stewart. Susan Verna Walner married Edward Joe Mitchell in 1904 at Wynnewood, Garvin County, OK, USA. Married 6 years at the 1910 census.. Susan Verna Walner died on 25 February 1977 at Wynnewood, Garvin County, OK, at age 93.²

     William (Will) Walner Jr. was born in 1854 at Indian Territory, USA. This date is not confirmed. He is described as the 3rd child of Dr William Walner and Susan Carter. He was the son of William M. Walner Dr. and Susan Carter. He married Lena Hotchkin at Indian Territory circa 1878.² He resided at Durant, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, USA, in 1885. William (Will) Walner Jr. died on 4 January 1894 at Pauls Valley, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, USA. Mary Semple Hotchkin in her autobiography says that William died the year after Lena and was buried on the Walner ranch beside his wife.. He was buried at Phantom Hill Cemetery, at Pauls Valley, Garvin County, OK, USA, . No stone has been found for William..

     The original information on the Walner family came from Peggy Stephenson, wife of Charles, who was a son of Mary Lloyd Hotchkin. These notes are believed to be written by Ebenezer Hotchkin Jr.
     Much has been added later from other researchers.
     Mary semple Hotchkin in her autobiography says that she took in Robert, John, James and Ebenezer and the fifth boy Frank went to live with a neighbor, Mr and Mrs Allen and called them Mama and Papa.³

     William M. Walner Dr. was born on 28 November 1816 at Richmond, Richmond County, VA, USA. He married Susan Carter, daughter of Kilpatrick Carter and Phalishta (Malacha) Colbert, circa 1845 at Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, USA. William M. Walner Dr. died on 23 March 1884 at Paoli, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, USA, at age 67. He was buried at Dulin- Walner-Dulin Cemetery, at Paoli, Garvin County, OK, USA, .

     Little is know about William's childhood but one descendant was told that he attended Yale University.
     The 1860 census of Chickasaw District, Indian Territory lists him as 41 years old, a physician, born in Virginia, with a oersonal estate valued at $10,000. The 1860 Indian Territory Slave Schedules list him as having 10 slaves, 9 black and 1 mulatto and two slave houses. The 1878 Annuity Rolls list William Walner Sr. with 1 male, 1 female and 2 children. also listed in these rolls is William Walner Jr. At this time he was living in Blue County, Choctaw Nation. At the time of his death, he ws living in Cherokee Town, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. Cherokee Town was located between Pauls Valley and Wynnwood on the east side of the Washita River.
     Much of the material on this family comes from William Walner Dulin, a great-great grandson of Dr. William Walner.

He registered for the World War I Draft on 12 September 1918 while living at Wynnewood, Garvin County, OK, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives his complete birth date and says that he an Indian. He gives his sife as dependant, Mrs Mae Walner.". He appeared on the census of 1920 at Walker, Garvin County, OK, USA. The census lists the family as: William R. Walner, 41 born OK, parents born OK, gambler or speculator; wife May O., 34, born AR, father born VA, mother born TN; dau Florence M., 16, single, born OK; son William R., 14, single, born OK.. He died in 1958 at Blackwell, Kay County, OK, USA.

     The 1900 census has him as Robert where the 1920 census has him as William R.

William Robert Walner Jr. married Zora Louise Jenkins, daughter of Robert Leon Jenkins and Peggy Waller, on 14 December 1938 at Marietta, Love County, OK, USA. Texas Divorce Records.. William Robert Walner Jr. and Zora Louise Jenkins were divorced on 20 December 1968 at Dallas, Dallas County, TX, USA.² William Robert Walner Jr. married Hazel Ailene Townson on 29 May 1971 at Dallas County, TX, USA.³ William Robert Walner Jr. and Hazel Ailene Townson were divorced on 8 October 1971 at Dallas County, TX. Called Ailene in Divorse records..² William Robert Walner Jr. died on 16 July 1993 at Dallas, Dallas County, TX, at age 88.¹

     His daughter Jan Walner says that her dad was very proud of his Indian heritage and the small town, Wynnewood, OK that he came from. She said that the second marriage only lasted a few weeks and he never again spoke of the women. He was an early aviation pioneer and a commercial airline pilot for over 30 years.

     Maynard W. Walsh married Juanita Fish, daughter of Harry Lynn Fish and Beatrice T. Johnson, on 1 July 1951 at Frankfort, Herkimer County, NY, USA.¹
