The census lists the family as: Willam Toussaint, 24, married once, 1 year, farm Labor, born NY, parents born Germany; wife Libbie, 19, married once, 1 year, 1 child, 1 living; dau marian, age 1.. He registered for the World War I Draft on 12 September 1918 while living at Troy, Rensselaer County, NY, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives his full name, age 34, born 24 Apr 1884. His occupation is Engineer in the Allis Box Factory. He gives his wife as Mrs Wm Toussaint. This birth date differs fro the 1900 census.". He appeared on the census of 1920 at Troy, Rensselaer County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: William Toussaint, 35, born NY, parents born Germany, Engineer at Box Factory; wife Elizabeth, 28, born NY, parents born NY; dau Marian, 10, born NY; son Wesley, 8, born NY; dau May, 5, born NY; dau Thressa, 4 2/12, born NY; dau Dorothy, 8/12, born NY..
