     Several of the children were born too late to likely be children of Emma. Jenny is clearly in the NY Marriage index at this date; however this index does not give the spouse. The 1900 census says that Jenny and William have been married for 13 years, which would make her the mother of all of the children except Harry.

     The "History of Bartow Co., GA claims that David was an early real estate speculator and bought and sold property in Paulding, Floyd, and as far away as Chatham Counties. He was an early member of the Racoon Creek Baptist Church and lived on Alabama Road. In 1839 he married Catherine Shaw, daughter of William W. Shaw and they had 10 children; however, the book only accounts for six children. The 1850 census has him owning one male and three female slaves.
