Parshall and Mary Nearpass, both resided in Spring Arbor. Edwin said that he was born in New York and she in Concord, MI. They were married by Seldon Woodworth, JP and witnessed by G. W. and Frankie Harrington in Spring Arbor. He gave his age as 49. She gave her age as 26. They must have divorced because she married Lewis D. Straw on 4 August 1893. Alice had an earlier marriage to Mr. Gary as that name is given on the Marriage License. At that time she gave a middle initial of L.
