Margaret Louise Miller appeared on the census of 1920 at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Margaret, 40, b PA, living alone.. She married John Adam Filker, son of Adam Filker and Mary Stabbal, between 1920 and 1930 at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, USA. Married at 1930 census but not at 1920 census.. She resided at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, in 1920. Margaret Louise Miller died on 30 March 1952 at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, at age 73. Died at age 73..      Marvin Charles Milliron was born on 20 October 1924 at Nessen City, Benzie County, MI, USA.2 He was the son of Floyd Blair Milliron and Elsie Harriet Hotchkin. He married Geraldine Shirley Fletcher at MI, USA, on 11 December 1948. She has the surname Slusher at this marriage.. Marvin Charles Milliron died on 21 April 2013 at Oscoda, Iosco County, MI, USA, at age 88. Marvin Charles Milliron of Oscoda passed away peacefully under the loving care of his family and hospice on Sunday, April 21, 2013, age 89 years.
Marvin was born on Oct. 20, 1923 in Nesson City to Floyd B. and Elsie H. (Hotchkin) Milliron. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School and three days after Pearl Harbor was attacked Marvin enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served our country as a motor machinist mate stationed aboard the USS Heywood.
After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Marvin moved to Oscoda where he became employed at the Wurtsmith Air Force Base as a civil service engineer, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Oscoda VFW, Oscoda American Legion, Oscoda Yacht Club, a past member of the Oscoda Fire Department and a former member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Those who knew and loved Marvin will remember how he truly loved coin collecting, fishing and hunting.
Marvin is survived by his 2 loving children, son, Kenneth B. Milliron of Oscoda, and daughter, Cindy (Rick Sr.) Knight of Oscoda; three grandchildren, Danielle (Kevin) Swales, Christopher Henion (fiancé Trish Evans) and Ricky Knight Jr; five great grandchildren, Kyle, Marissa, Lanie, Anthony and Andrew; one sister-in-law, Joan Milliron of Oscoda; one niece, Dale (Richard) Raber; one nephew, Donald (Paula) Milliron; and many more loving family and friends. Marvin was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Henion; one brother, Vaughn Milliron; and one nephew, David Milliron.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider either the Oscoda VFW or Heartland Hospice in his honor.. He was buried . Cremated and ashes taken by family.

MILLIRON, VAUGHN Vaughn Blair Milliron, of Oscoda, formerly of Mt. Morris, passed away at his home peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday August 16, 2012, age 90 years. Vaughn was born on March 6, 1922 in Benzie County, Michigan to Floyd Blair and Elsie Harriet (Hotchkin) Milliron. After high school graduation, Vaughn enlisted with the United States Navy where he proudly served our country during World War II as a distinguished Naval Carrier Fighter Pilot, earning the rank of Lieutenant JG. Upon receiving his honorable discharge from his active military service, Vaughn went to work for the Buick Motor Company in Flint. He was employed as a Skilled Tradesman with Buick for 32 years, retiring in October of 1974. Those who knew Vaughn will always remember how he truly enjoyed activities and the beauty of the outdoors. He also loved to hunt and fish, work in his garden, and travel all over the country with his family. He was a very active member of the Oscoda Baptist Church and the Oscoda Masonic Lodge where he willingly held many offices throughout the years. Vaughn married his lovely wife, Joan (Reid) in Mt. Morris on May 27, 1944. Together they celebrated 68 beautiful years of marriage! He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Milliron of Oscoda, two children, Elizabeth Dale (Richard) Raber of Waterford, and Donald Blair (Paula) Milliron of Clio, and Daughter-in-law Jannette Milliron of Millersburg; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Milliron of Oscoda; his entire church family at Oscoda Baptist Church and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Vaughn was preceded in death by a son, David Bruce Milliron. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service with military honors to celebrate his life. He was buried in 2013 . Memorial # 109084700 Body cremated Ashes given to family members..
