     Charles Curtis McIntire was born on 30 September 1878 at Adams, Seneca County, OH, USA.¹ He was the son of Ambrose Pinkerton McIntire and Mary Frances Kirker. He married Hettie Daughtery Hotchkin at Sanpete County, UH, USA, on 19 May 1904. Utah marriage records Vol 5, pg 100 Id# 260755.. Charles Curtis McIntire appeared on the census of 1910 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, UT, USA. The census lists the family as: Charles C. McIntire, 31, married once, born OH, parents born OH, clergyman; wife Hettie H., 31, married once, 5 years, 3 children, 3 living; son Charles C. Jr., 3, born MI; dau Helen, 2, born UT; son Hubert, 4/12, born UT.. He appeared on the census of 1920 at Durant, Bryan County, OK, USA. The census lists the family as: Hattie H. McIntire, 40, married, born OK, father born PA, mother born OH, librarian at normal school; son Carl, 13, born Mi, parents born OK; dau Helen, 11, born UT; son Blair, 10, born UT; son Forest,7, born IL..

     Charles Curtis (Carl) McIntire Jr. was born on 17 May 1906 at Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, MI, USA. According to his son, he was born in the manse of the First Presbyterian Church.¹ He was the son of Charles Curtis McIntire and Hettie Daughtery Hotchkin. He married Fairy Eunice Davis on 27 May 1931. He resided at Collingswood, Camden County, NJ, USA, in 1990. Charles Curtis (Carl) McIntire Jr. died on 19 March 2002 at Collingswood, Camden County, NJ, at age 95.^2,1 He was buried at Harleigh Cemetery, at Camden, Camden County, NJ, USA, .

     Carl was Pastor of the Bible Presbyterian Church of Collinswood, NJ and President of the International Council Christian Churchs.
     McIntire was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the oldest of four children of Charles Curtis McIntire, a Presbyterian minister and M.A. graduate of Princeton University, and Hettie Hotchkin McIntire, a history teacher and later a college dean. Carl spent most of his youth in Oklahoma, where both his maternal grandparents were Presbyterian missionaries in the Choctaw Nation. McIntire completed high school in Durant, in southeastern Oklahoma and attended Southeastern State Teachers College (now Southeastern Oklahoma State University) in Durant. He transfered to Park College, Parkville, Missouri, where he received his B.A. degree before entering Princeton Theological Seminary, New Jersey in 1928 to prepare for the Presbyterian ministry
In the late 1920s, Princeton Seminary was embroiled in the Fundamentalist-Modernist controversy that had disquieted the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America as well as other Protestant denominations. McIntire became a strong supporter of J. Gresham Machen, a noted conservative professor of New Testament. With Machen, McIntire opposed a reorganization of the seminary in 1929 that appeared to strengthen liberal elements in the church, and McIntire followed his mentor and three other professors out of Princeton to the newly founded Westminster Theological Seminary, where he completed his Th.B. degree in 1931.
In May 1931, he married Fairy Eunice Davis (December 23, 1906 – September 13, 1992) of Paris, Texas, whom he had met when they were both students at Southeastern. She had become a high school English teacher while he continued his studies. They had three children. After Fairy Davis McIntire died in 1992, Carl McIntire married Alice Goff, a church office administrator with whom he had worked for many years.
     His biography by Ron Moody said; "Last of the 20th century's fighting religious fundamentalist. Exhaustive preacher, writer and publisher. Known for his motto "A man who will not use his freedom to defend his freedom does not deserve his freedom."

     David Blair McIntire is the son of Herbert Blair McIntire and Doris May Knudsen.

     Helen Swift McIntire was born on 3 March 1908 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, UT, USA.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Curtis McIntire and Hettie Daughtery Hotchkin. She married Lowell S. Orth circa 1929. Helen Swift McIntire died on 9 November 2001 at Dallas, Dallas County, TX, USA, at age 93.²

     Herbert Blair McIntire was born on 21 December 1909 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, UT, USA.¹ He was the son of Charles Curtis McIntire and Hettie Daughtery Hotchkin. He married Doris May Knudsen circa 1928. Herbert Blair McIntire died on 23 June 1990 at Riverside, Riverside County, CA, USA, at age 80.¹ He was buried at Palm Springs, Riverside County, CA, USA, .

     Kathleen Jo McIntire is the daughter of Herbert Blair McIntire and Doris May Knudsen.

     Kirker Dyer McIntire was born on 3 December 1880 at Adams, Seneca County, OH, USA. He was the son of Ambrose Pinkerton McIntire and Mary Frances Kirker.

     Mabel May McIntire was born on 8 August 1876 at Adams, Seneca County, OH, USA. She was the daughter of Ambrose Pinkerton McIntire and Mary Frances Kirker.

     Marianna Hotchkin McIntire is the daughter of Charles Curtis (Carl) McIntire Jr. and Fairy Eunice Davis. She married Raymond Clark at Collingswood, Camden County, NJ, USA, on 12 December 1956.¹

     Mary Margaret McIntire was born on 7 January 1883 at Adams, Seneca County, OH, USA. She was the daughter of Ambrose Pinkerton McIntire and Mary Frances Kirker.

     Sally Celeste McIntire is the daughter of Charles Curtis (Carl) McIntire Jr. and Fairy Eunice Davis.

     William Forrest McIntire Col. was born on 4 June 1912 at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA. 1920 census calls him Forest and says that he was born in IL.¹ He was the son of Charles Curtis McIntire and Hettie Daughtery Hotchkin. He married Mary Alice Conner on 9 December 1933. He married Hazel Marie McKinnis on 28 June 1952. He resided at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, OK, USA, in 1994. William Forrest McIntire Col. died on 9 September 2002 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, OK, at age 90.¹

     Attached is a letter that Senator Carl Albert wrote to Col McIntire.

     William Forrest McIntire Jr. was born on 11 March 1940. He died on 12 March 1940. He was the son of William Forrest McIntire Col. and Mary Alice Conner.

     John F. McIntosh was born circa 1825. He married Eunice M. McAllister.

     David McIntyre is the son of Duncan McIntyre and Bessie Lexa (Luella) Hendrick.

     Duncan McIntyre was born on 4 September 1886 at Scotland. Age 47 at the 1930 census of Detroit, MI.¹ He married Bessie Lexa (Luella) Hendrick, daughter of Egbert Seymour Hendrick Sr. and Bessie Eleanora Downing, in 1921 at MI, USA. He was 38 and she 18 at marriage.. Duncan McIntyre died in April 1963 at MI at age 76.¹

     Duncan McIntyre is the son of Duncan McIntyre and Bessie Lexa (Luella) Hendrick.

     Elizabeth McKie (MacKay) was born on 20 March 1700 at New Haven, New Haven County, CT, USA. She married William Hendrick at Wallingford, New Haven County, CT, USA, on 25 March 1727. Married by Mr Hall..¹ Elizabeth McKie (MacKay) died on 9 June 1764 at Wallingford, New Haven County, CT, at age 64.

     Hazel Marie McKinnis was born on 4 November 1924. Listed in Public Records in Oklahoma City, OK. She married William Forrest McIntire Col. on 28 June 1952.

     Elizabeth was born at NY, USA, on 16 July 1829. Birth calculated from age at death ---74-4-8..¹ She married Thomas H. Hotchkin at Marshall, Calhoun County, MI, USA, on 3 September 1865.¹ Elizabeth died on 24 November 1903 at Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, MI, USA, at age 74.²

     It is not clear that the Compiler got the correct Thomas for this marriage. The records say that Thomas of Ann Arbor, age 40, married Elizabeth Hill, age 35, at Marshall, MI. They were married by Eld. J.E. Church, MG and witnessed by H.S. Spaulding and A.V. Rautland, both of Marshall, MI. The age for Thomas doesn't quite fit but the other Thomas in Washtenaw Co; Thomas A. Hotchkin, son of Augustine would be further off in age.
     The 1903 Polk Directory of Ann Arbor, MI has Elizabeth, widow of Thomas Hotchkin, boarding at 1109 Broadway St.

     Frances McLane was born on 19 August 1904 at Lyons, Linn County, OR, USA.² She married William Russell Hotchkin Sr. at Klamath Falls, Klamath County, OR, USA, on 12 August 1924.³ She married Victor Err Padgett at OR, USA, after 1930.¹ Frances died on 21 July 1994 at Klamath Falls, Klamath County, OR, at age 89. The Oregon Death Index gives her name as Frances McLane and her husband as Victor Padgett..^4,5

     Frances' maiden name comes from her daughter Mary Ellen Hankins; the Ward Funeral Home records on the death of her son William give the name as McClain; while Dorothy Brose Garlington, pg 3 of her 17 January 1991 letter to the Compiler refers to her as McLean. She had a later marriage to Padgett of Klamath Falls as that is her surname given in the funeral records as attendees.

     Gertrude Isabelle McLaughlin was born on 21 April 1893 at IA, USA. She was the daughter of James Phillip McLaughlin and Rose Hannah Hotchkin. Gertrude Isabelle McLaughlin died on 8 May 1952 at age 59.

     Grace Evelyn McLaughlin was born on 11 April 1903 at IA, USA. She was the daughter of James Phillip McLaughlin and Rose Hannah Hotchkin.

     James Phillip McLaughlin was born in April 1858 at PA, USA. 1900 census, born Apr 1858, age 42, born PA, father born England, mother born Ireland. He married Rose Hannah Hotchkin at IA, USA. James Phillip McLaughlin died on 2 November 1949 at IA at age 91.

     John Edward McLaughlin was born on 30 August 1897 at IA, USA.¹ He was the son of James Phillip McLaughlin and Rose Hannah Hotchkin. John Edward McLaughlin died in April 1967 at Albia, Monroe County, IA, USA, at age 69.¹

     Josephine Mathilda McLaughlin was born on 21 November 1900 at IA, USA. She was the daughter of James Phillip McLaughlin and Rose Hannah Hotchkin.
