She was buried at Shelton Memorial Park, at Shelton, Mason County, WA, USA, .
In notes of Ebenezer Jr., he refers to Fannie as a preacher and teacher. He also says that she married Dalzell- Brinsin. The compiler suspects that this refers to two separate marriages; first Dalzell and second Brinsin. Volume II of The History of the State of Oklahoma, says that she is now Mrs. Delzell and a teacher in the Presbyterian College.
Fanny must have been living near her brother Henry in the late 1920's as she and he are the Grantees of property from the Klamath Development Co. on 18 April 1916. She is called Fanny Delzell. On 20 December 1920, Henry Quit Claims property to Fanny McClure, wife of W.N. McClure.1

It seem obvious that this birth date is in error as her sister Neva was also born in 1990 and is confirmed by the 1910 census; but this is the date in family records.

Frances (Fanny) G. Hotchkin was born on 30 March 1829 at Lenox, Berkshire County, MA, USA. She was the daughter of John Hotchkin Rev. and Fanny Gale. She was baptized at Lenox, Berkshire County, MA, on 30 August 1829.1 Frances (Fanny) G. Hotchkin was graduated in 1845 from Lenox Academy, Lenox, Berkshire County, MA, USA. Frances G. was a student in the class of 1845-6 at the Lenox Academy of which her father Rev John Hotchkin was Principal. Her address at that time was listed as Lenox. She studied in the Greek language. She appeared on the census of 1850 at Lenox, Berkshire County, MA. The census lists the family as: Census calls her Fanny.. She appeared on the census of 1880 at Lenox, Berkshire County, MA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Fanny, 51 (1829), MA, Teacher; sister, Mary L., 47 (1833), teacher, living together with Mary Carey, 17, listed as help.. She appeared on the census of 1900 at Holderness, Grafton County, NH, USA. The census lists the family as: Mather P. Fattatt or Falbott, Apr 1866, 34, born MA, father born MA, mother born ME, Physician; wife Edith A., Sep 1872, 27, born VA, no chikdren; Fannie Hatchkin, lodger, Aug 1833, MA, parents born in MA; Mary L., lodger, Mar 1829, MA, parnets born in MA; both are school teachers. These birth dates are inverted from other records.. She died on 8 April 1903 at Pittsfield, Berkshire County, MA, USA, at age 74. She was buried at Church on the Hill Cemetery, at Lenox, Berkshire County, MA, USA, . Gravestone says, "Fanny Hotchkin, born March 30 1829; died Apilr 8 1903.".
Frances and her sister Mary worked all their lives for their father John in the Hotchkin Public Library of Lenox and operated it after their fathers death. The 1850 census of Lenox, Berkshire Co., MA finds her with her parents and gives her age as 20, making her birth in 1829/30. Her baptism is in the records of the Little Church on the Hill.
George Walker's Diary of Lenox has an entry Fanny Hotchkin, June 23, 1852: Mary Hotchkin, June 19, 1852; many of the other nearby entries are deaths but we are quite sure of Marys and Frances death. This could be marriages but there is no other evidence of any marriages and it seems unlikely that they were married in-as-much as they are buried with their parents. Her gravestone gives her birth and death dates.

He died on 29 October 1902 at Saline, Washtenaw County, MI, at age 62.6,2
He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, at Saline, Washtenaw County, MI, USA, .
Francis was born in Michigan within a few years after his parents arrived there from Steuben Co., NY. His birth date is calculated from the age 62-4-11 given in his Burial Permit which is attached to his wife's Widows Pension Application. He was baptized in the Presbyterian Church by Rev Mr Hill. The 1880 Census of Saline, Washtenaw Co., MI calls him Francis Hodgkin and gives his age as 38 and born in Michigan. At that time they lived on Russell St., in Saline.
Francis was a Civil War soldier who enlisted on 12 August 1862 at Ann Arbor, MI, into Co. E, 17th Regt, Michigan Infantry Volunteers as a Private. He was wounded in the knee at the battle of Antietam on 17 Sept, 1862. According to his file, he spent 10 days in the field hospital, then was transferred to Frederick City, MD for one night and then to Baltimore, MD for two weeks in the Camden Street Hospital. His wounding seems like such a short period after his enlistment that he must have been sent immediately to the front without any training. A letter in his file, from his father to the military authorities, says that he is too sick to return from a home leave. A doctors report on 12 December 1862 when he was discharged at Detroit says that he was three-fourths disabled. The Michigan Military Index lists him in Vol 17, Pg 39 but gives middle initial as J.
When Ann applied for a widow's pension in 1902, she said that all she had was a small house and lot that brought in no money for support and that no one else was legally liable for any support. The pension file includes their marriage license, a death certificate for Francis and names their living children, on 4 June, 1898 as Harvey and Ernest and gives their birth dates.
Francis' death is recorded in Washtenaw Co. records, Vol 3, page 61, which gives the cause of death as nervous exhaustion and his birth location as New York, which certainly is not true. The Michigan Death Records, Book 36, pg 343 call him Frank L. Hotchkin. His marriage to Ann Eliza Lane is recorded in Washtenaw Co. records, Vol 3, page 246, 1882. Francis, Ann, and their son Ernest are buried with his parents in the Oakwood Cemetery, Plot #A-5, alongside of US #12 in Saline. There are no markers on their graves. At the 1900 census the census taker reports that they had 5 children with 2 alive at that time. The Compiler has listed six children belived to be theirs.

He was buried at Chicago, Cook County, IL, .
Frank's grandson Hugh Miller Hotchkin reports on this individual, but much of the information was confused with his father, Eber. Hugh says that Frank had brothers who joined the Union army and one died of starvation in a confederate prison camp. This was his father, Eber. According to Hugh, Frank (Eber) moved down the Allegheny River and Ohio River to North Bend, Ohio, and then, across Indiana to El Paso, IL where they lived for a while. Eber did live and was married in El Paso. From there the family moved across Iowa and ended near Mitchell, South Dakota (Hugh is correct that this would be Frank's family). After hardships with cold winters and dry summers Frank decided to move to Chicago. The move to Chicago was in cattle cars and they ended at and lived in an area at the Chicago Stock Yards called "back of the yards."
The 1900 census of Chicago, Cook Co., IL finds him living at 5143 Winchester St with his wife Annie. This census gives his birth as Jun 1859 and the place as IL. The census report says that they had 10 children, 8 still living and they had been married 20 years. The census says, his father was born in NY and mother in Ohio. His occupation was R. R. Switchman and he owned his home with a mortgage.
After the death of his wife Anna, Frank married the house keeper, Mrs Ferguson, who had a son LeRoy. According to grandson Hugh, LeRoy Ferguson became the Archbishop of the Episcopalian Church in St. Paul, MN and Hugh believes that LeRoy collected and wrote information on the Hotchkin Family. Like much information carried down in a family, some of the above is correct, some is erroneous and some cannot be verified. The compiler has no information on LeRoy, but he was likely born in Chicago.
Frank's grandson, Raymond Harry says that Frank's proper name was Frank Edward but he was often called Edward Frank. The records show that he was Ernest Frank by birth, but was called Frank Ernest. Raymond gives the first name of Frank's second wife, Matilda or Mathilda. Raymond Harry Hotchkin says relatives lived in the state of Minnesota near Ely. He also says that an Uncle of John Francis (brother of Frank Edward?) was an Episcopalian Minister in the Northwest and visited them occasionally. The compiler thinks that this is likely LeRoy Ferguson, son of Frank's second wife. There is no verification on any of this information.
Ernest first appears in the Chicago City Directories in 1895, as a railroad switchman residing at 5141 Winchester. In 1896 the family lives at 345 Leeland and in 1898 they are back at the Winchester address. They appear at this address through 1910. The 1910 directory is the last directory available until 1928. The 1928 Polk Directory says that he is a carpenter and contractor and lives at 5828 S. Artesian, which is also the address of Hugh J., John F. and William M. Hotchkin. A microfilm of some voting records of 1892, has him at 5141 Winchester, Dist. 1, Ward 30, Precinct 34. The records show that he had lived in the precinct 2 months, the county 4 years and the state 4 years. This information likely places the families move from SD to IL in 1888. The death certificate for Frank, calls him Frank E. Hotchkin, born 1 Jun 1859, in El Paso, IL. It says that his father was Eber Hotchkin, and mother unknown. The certificate says that he worked 35 years for R. R. Donally Co. as a carpenter, and last worked in Aug 1936. His father's birthplace is given as Sullivan, NY.
