He was christened at New York City, New York County, NY, on 13 December 1894 at the University Place Church.. He married Margaret Dunham Roberts at Basking Ridge, Somerset County, NJ, USA, on 8 June 1917.1 Stanley Edwards Harris Sr. appeared on the census of 1930 at Yeadon, Delaware County, PA, USA. The census lists the family as: Stanley Harris, 35, married at 22, born NY, parents born NY, Physician, general practice; wife Margaret, 32, married at 19, born NJ, father born NY, mother born NJ; son Stanley, 12, born NJ; dau Margaret, 8, born PA; son Charles, 5, born PA; son Lewis, 3, born PA.. He died on 1 March 1968 at Guadalajara, Mexico, at age 73.
He received his bachelors degree from Princeton in 1917, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received an MD degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1923. From 1925-29 he was an Associate Professor of Medicine at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. After 1929 he practiced medicine in Philadelphia, PA.

A fortieth wedding anniversary was observed by Mr. and Mrs. William P. Hotchkin on Sunday, April 23, with an open house at St. Mary's Catholic Church hall.
Approximately 145 friends and relatives signed the guest book which was cared for by Mrs. John Harter, a sister-in-law. Guests were greeted by LaRita Hotchkin and John Mortensen, oldest grandchildren. The serving table was decorated by a book shaped cake, baked and decorated by Mrs. Leo Wortman of Newton, a niece.
Lighted candles of ruby in double candelabra were placed on either side of the cake. Mrs. Lee Bullock served the cake. Mrs. Vincent Hotchkin, a sister-in-law and Mrs. Fenton Foster, sister of Mrs. Hotchkin, poured coffee. Mrs. Mary Swart of Spencer, and Mrs. Anna Wortman, sisters of Mrs. Hotchkin presided at the punch bowl. Refreshments of cake, mints, nuts, coffee and ruby punch were served. The mints were made by their daughter, Mrs. Dale Mortensen. Mrs. Alfred Simpson, a niece and Mrs. Rosa Hotchkin, sister-in-law, presided at the gift table.
Mrs. Dora Schultz, Mrs. Elsie Vogt, and Mrs. Mary Baustian, neighbors, were kitchen hostesses. Five grandchildren, Kenneth, Richard and Daniel Mortenson, and Bill and Will Hotchkin gathered trays. Mrs. William Devereux of Adair, sister of Mr. Hotchkin, and Charles T. Hotchkin of Kellogg, brother of Mr. Hotchkin, was bridesmaid and best man at the wedding. Both were present for the open house.
William P. Hotchkin and Elizabeth Harter were married April 20, 1921, at the Catholic Church in Grinnell by the Rev. M. J. Hannon. They farmed until twenty-one years ago when they moved to their present home at 1619- 9th Avenue in Grinnell.
Mr. and Mrs. Hotchkin are the parents of two children, Bernard and Anna Marie Mortensen and twelve grandchildren all living in the Grinnell community. Guests registered from Davenport, Adair, Kellogg, Laurel, Newton, Spencer, Toledo, Malcom and Grinnell.

Jennie Hatch was born on 14 February 1866 at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, USA. She was the daughter of Andrew Hatch and Maria Nancy Hotchkin. Jennie Hatch married Jefferson Brown at OH, USA. Jennie Hatch died on 1 May 1953 at Mount Gilead, Morrow County, OH, USA, at age 87. The Marion Star had an article headed GALION which said: Mrs Jennie Brown , 87, who had made her home in Galion several years, died at 9;30 pm, Friday, at the Elm Crest Rest Home at Mt Gilead. She had been ill four years and been in the rest home a number of months.

Surviving are two daughters; Mrs E. Osborne Shryock of Meadville and Mrs Jack Gray of Galion. The body will be sent to Meadville for burial in Green lawn Cemetery..1 She was buried at Greendale Cemetery, at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, USA, .
